The old hasn’t finished dying, the new hasn’t yet taken shape. Persistent Interval sits inside exactly that gap, seven artists moving between painting, video and sculpture, a hare wearing a clock’s face, old film stock bleeding into HD footage, bodies fused with painted plastic and wood. A gothic sensibility runs through all of it, not as style but as a way of inhabiting the unresolved, memory returning without ever settling into a fixed reading. Staying inside the gap, rather than closing it, becomes the method itself.
