Issachar’s first Greek solo brings together three recent series

built around one obsession: the grid, as structure, cage, and

code all at once. His background in economics feeds directly

into it, right angles read as both stored information and the

repetition of urban routine,

while the grid’s more labyrinthine turns nod to older myths of

disorientation and passage. Palindromes and crossword-like

patterns cycle through the canvas, half-obscured by figures andmarks. One series stacks its registers along Freud’s tripartite

psyche, cultural code above, reality at the centre, raw instinct

below, the same instinct that spills freely into the show’s most

expressionistic works, spontaneous marks pulled between

order and impulse.
