BERNIER/ELIADES
 PRESENTS
 LIFE OF A SUNFLOWER
 BY ELINA BELOU

The vases arrive dressed up for a party, a whole family in their best outfits. Elina Belou gives each one a personality, with a neck, arms and curves, and a wardrobe of feathers and touches of gold. A few step onto white and golden podiums and take the room like debutantes. They seem to belong to some other time and place, and their exact ritual stays a secret. That mystery gives the party its depth: a joyful gathering that bows to the ancient and keeps a breath of the sacred. Bernier/ Eliades hosts her first exhibition, and the guests have arrived.
