EMST PRESENTS EARTH TO EARTH BY STATHIS LOGOTHETIS
The striking exhibition EARTH TO EARTH revisits the practice of Stathis Logothetis, an artist who
treated painting as a wounded, living body shaped by darkness.
Coming from a background marked by displacement and an early involvement in music before
turning to visual art, he developed a physical and existential language.
His works show surfaces where bleeding scars mark the skin; an inhabited skin, emptied, as if the
body itself has been forgotten.
Through gesture, material violence, and exposure to natural decay, he blurred the boundaries
between canvas and flesh.
The exhibition shows how his work extends beyond painting into performance and environment,
confronting fragility, the body, and the tension between life and erosion.
