MONA PRESENTS RENDEZ-VOUS BY SONIA SIEFF

Sonia Sieff’s Rendez‑Vous! exhibition at Mona Athens is a sultry, cinematic retrospective, blending the sensual threads of her two acclaimed books, Les Françaises and Rendez‑Vous!. 

Female and male nudes stand still in a quiet dialogue, framed by Sieff’s signature play of shadow and light. 

Her lens, both intimate and instinctive, elevate the model to a kind of totem-like, almost sacred presence, a sublimation beyond mere portraiture.

The setting couldn’t have been more perfectly matched. 

Mona’s moody ambiance, buttery curtains, textured walls, low amber lighting, and soft shadows seemed to melt into Sieff’s images, wrapping the evening in a hushed, smoky, erotic elegance.
