THE GEORGE ECONOMOU COLLECTION PRESENTS THE WAY WE LIVE NOW CURATED BY HILTON ALS AND ANN PHILBIN

20.06.2026 - 31.03.2027

Opening its collection to a rare group presentation, the George Economou Collection brings together artists who reflect, in different ways, on what it means to live today.
Taking its title from Anthony Trollope’s 1875 novel, the exhibition echoes his reflection on power and its effects, bringing it into the present. Moving through intimacy, politics, and being, the exhibition drifts between the personal and the collective, between the body, sex and the power, presence and uncertainty.
Each section carries its own atmosphere, remaining open, allowing forms, gestures, and images to echo across space, as large-scale paintings and more raw material sculptures meet the plain, high-ceilinged architecture.
A beautiful and subtle curatorial sensitivity shapes these encounters, where works are placed in relation, sometimes confronting, sometimes holding back, so that meaning emerges through their proximity, their differences, and the space between them.
