BETTER VIEWS BY KYVELI ZOI & LOUIS JACQUOT

In Better Views, Kyveli Zoi breathes life into the modernist shell of an abandoned building in Hydra, creating a striking contrast between the raw, brutalist architecture and the delicate intimacy of her miniature oil paintings. 

Framed like theatrical peepholes, the works are carefully placed throughout the space, responding to the mood and memory of each room. As visitors move through the house, they are immersed in a sensory dialogue, between the quiet detail of imagined interiors and the ambient sounds of nature reclaiming its supremacy.

The exhibition, developed in collaboration with artist Louis Jacquot, began during his residency at KYAN in Athens and came to life during Zoi’s spring stay in Paris. When the two artists returned to Hydra in May, they transformed the decaying building into a living, layered installation. The result is a deeply atmospheric experience, where architecture, art, and environment merge, and the viewer becomes part of an unfolding story.
