In AIRBORNE, Apollon Glykas gives a family Zeppelin a second flight, this time through time. Its metal skeleton rests at the centre of the gallery, wrapped in metallic light and reflections, and visitors move around it as on a journey from yesterday to tomorrow, bright with the optimism of another era and played in a contemporary key. Photographs, negatives and a camera obscura chart the places that shaped the artist, landscapes interrupted by a disco ball or a running track, until memory and imagination blend into one shimmering collage.
