extends his investigation of attraction, repulsion, and the psychic fallout of media saturation.
Against a backdrop of televised leaders and a cold industrial kitchen where cookies are
mechanically produced, we can feel that the old Latin proverb post amara dulcia : after bitter
things, sweet things, holds the promise of sweetness after hardship, while revealing how relief and
catastrophe can, sadly, co-exist side by side.
