Within the atmospheric space of NEMA, the former Mentis-Antonopoulos Passementerie, artist Nikomachi Karakostanoglou and Electra Soutzoglou’s Art Rug Projects spark a creative collaboration where contemporary art meets the ancestral language of weaving. 

Karakostanoglou’s work, shaped by light and water, finds new form in silk, where brushstrokes become fibers and movement turns tactile. The result is a transformation of image into texture, spirit into material, a shimmering dialogue rooted in history, heritage, and the enduring art of the handmade.
