MOMus-Museum Alex Mylona presents: Panos Profitis — La Bocca La Grotta
Panos Profitis’s solo exhibition La Bocca La Grotta at MOMus-Museum Alex Mylona is a powerful journey into the primal core of sculpture, myth, and the human condition.
His works stand at the intersection of form and meaning, fusing archaic references with a strikingly modern, postmodern visual language. With stark, metallic forms that evoke both ancient artifacts and futuristic relics,
Profitis treats the body as a figure, as a symbol and a mythic site of transformation and memory.
Structured like a theatrical diptych, the exhibition unfolds in two contrasting spaces: one enveloped in shadow, the other radiant with natural light.
This deliberate play of light and darkness mirrors the artist’s deeper exploration of dualities, life and death, the sacred and the profane, the comic and the tragic. Each sculpture becomes a narrative fragment, or a silent oracle, and conduct us to navigate the timeless and mysterious dance between materiality and transcendence.
