MELAS MARTINOS PRESENTS NEOCOLOR BY DAVID WEISS (1946-2012)

Set in Melas Martinos’ neoclassical gallery, with the Acropolis as a charged backdrop, the exhibition places David Weiss’s *Neocolor* works at the center of a sharp encounter between modern experimentation and classical weight. Weiss is the point here: in these 1977-78 drawings, he pushes wax and color into something unstable and exact at once, where veils, eruptions, and distorted figures test how far image and feeling can be stretched before they break. The result is intellectually tense, linking Zurich’s countercultural edge to Athens’ monumental permanence.
