IRENE Y. PANAGOPOULOS PRESENTS EVERYTHING I KNOW IS A BORROWED MAP CURATED BY AKIS KOKKINOS
The second exhibition from the Irene Y. Panagopoulos Collection, *Everything I Know Is a Borrowed Map*, curated by Akis Kokkinos, brings together archives, historic maps, vitrines, and works by Greek and international artists in a composition that quietly resists the logic of ownership, proposing instead that collecting is a fragile act of borrowing histories, memories, and meanings; this idea, that knowledge itself is never fully ours, runs with subtle force throughout, lending the exhibition a restrained emotional depth, while its careful selection and measured installation produce a rare elegance in which past and present meet without hierarchy, allowing historical artifacts and contemporary works to enter into nuanced and often unexpected dialogue, and by refusing to fix a single narrative, the exhibition opens a space for uncertainty, intimacy, and reinterpretation, encouraging viewers to question how memory and history are constructed.
