CRUX GALLERY PRESENTS MOULTING SEASON BY MARIA LOUIZOU
26.09.2025
-
6.11.2025
A body can leave itself behind in fragile and ghostly forms, as terracotta can hold the echo of voices, like a shell holds the sea.
To moult is to stay long enough to change.
Sculptures of wax, clay, steel, and plaster become temporary spiritual dwellings, welcoming phantoms and holding space for transformation.
Terracotta forms, scaled to human presence, hum with voices and memories activated by feminine touch and breath.
The exhibition is an invisible ritual, a space where loss and becoming fold into one, and the weight of what remains carries us navigating the depths of the soul.
