Mortarakos builds layered “multi-cosmos” worlds through texture, paint, and subtle material interventions. Handwritten notes, religious-like artifacts, embedded table legs and shelves appear across his surfaces, turning each work into a fragment of a personal archive. Blending image, thought, and object, he deeply and emotionally explores memory, time, and the meaning of painting today.
