MUNICIPAL GALLERY OF ATHENS PRESENTS AFTER BY GIORGIOS TSERIONIS
In his 18th solo exhibition, Giorgos Tserionis turns the modern metropolis into a living
playground, dissecting its ruins to expose the instincts of homo urbanus as the city-
dwelling survivor.
The exhibition, presents a dense mix of materials and sculptural expression : clay and
marble next to latex, metal, and debris collected from construction sites. This deliberate
curatorial layering reflects the complexity and texture of urban life, its contradictions, its
exhaustion, its pulse.
With warning yellows cutting through earthy tones, Tserionis’s work balances menace
with vitality, reminding us that decay and renewal constantly coexist, often in the same
breath.
