TEMPO RUBATO BY LORENZO CONFORTI

Storm, turmoil, calm. In TEMPO RUBATO, Lorenzo Conforti catches the rhythm and waves of color and gradation within a still image; oil and spray meet in the same field as forms shift, undulate, interrogate and then stretch and spill beyond the canvas. The gesture runs past the frame, flowing onto the gallery walls in long, sweeping lines, romantic arabesques that articulate the space like a vegetation born from the watery nature of the canvas. Conforti’s first solo exhibition in Greece, a beautiful beginning.
