DIO HORIA GALLERY PRESENTS VENUS IN US BY RAÚL DE NIEVES
Raúl de Nieves turns Dio Horia into a small universe built from beads and broken shoes, where desire gets stitched, layered, and left to accumulate like sediment. Each object carries the residue of use, footwear pulled from its old life and rebuilt into something closer to relic than fashion, wounds dressed up in color and repetition. Set above the ruins circling the Acropolis, the exhibition lets old stone and new material sit in the same breath, repair standing in for memory. Spirals and mandalas hold the space together loosely, more a pulse than a pattern, so nothing here ever points to one fixed idea of beauty.
