ALKINOIS PRESENTS ΔΙΓΕΝΗΣ – Born Twice BY Zoë Paul
Layers of patterns and surfaces curl into a spiral, open to a liminal theatre of doubleness:
multi-perspective, double-faced, Snake-tongued visions where paintings become psychological vortices and ceramics crack into breathing bodies. Zoë Paul evokes the border-born Baofelos Aıyevns and a Dionysian unmakingto map cycles of death and rebirth, species and gender, and the hazy selves that form between. We loom like giants and yet are flattened by the weight of appearance and responsibility; a claustrophobic pressure threads the work. Made over four years in a village tucked into Parnassos, the titanic humanoid sculptures and monumental paintings coexist as a single, breathing field, moving like vines and pheromones through the seams of reality.
