At Zoumboulakis Gallery, Masking glows in bright, airy pastels true to the space’s
trademark, reimagining the curator’s take on fragility, from Ekman and Friesen’s
concealment of true selves to embracing vulnerability as our collective identity, as an
optimistic soft touch.
Hiding appearances turns into a fragile yet empowering grip on our strengths, urging us to
drop the camouflage and desire life’s inherent instability through vibrant paintings, and airy
installations.
