DEREE – THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF GREECE PRESENTS NOT THIRD BUT INFINITE
Not Third but Infinite,” a luminous group exhibition co-organized by Díla, The Frances Rich School
of Arts and Humanities, and The Demos Center at The American College of Greece, expands
Homi K. Bhabha’s “Third Space” into an infinite realm of hybridity, dislocation, and utopian
possibility.
Spread across the neoclassical villa on Ipitou Street, it weaves poetry, painting, embroidery,
immersive installations, and rare archival ephemeral, including unexhibited notebooks from Greek-
American artist Michael Lekakis’s personal collection, into a meditation on renegotiated selfhood
amid uprooted landscapes.
Recurrent motifs of stars, skies, and ephemerality anchor diverse voices, from established
legacies to emerging talents mentored by Díla, registering rupture and reconstitution as both
earthly anchors and transcendent departures.
