GRAMMA EPSILON presents: Filo-diffusione – 2 Exhibitions about Thread – Curated by Paolo Cortese

The second chapter of the project, Filo-diffusione brings together artists from different

generations and cultures who explore the symbolic and expressive power of thread. Building on

Mirella Bentivoglio’s women-centred exhibitions of the 1980s, the show reinterprets the motif of

the thread as a tool for storytelling, protest, and memory. Through this dialogue, the exhibition

emphasizes inclusion and connection, themes mirrored by its symbols, the reversed “e” (Ə) and

the ampersand (&), affirming the timeless and evolving nature of this ancient yet experimental

element.
