BENAKI MUSEUM MENTIS – ANTONOPOULOS PRESENTS GARMENT OF THREAD BY DENISE ELEFTHERIOU

The Mentis archive, carefully preserved under the stewardship of

the Benaki Museum, opens its doors to a new generation of

creators. Among them, artist and designer Denise Eleftheriou

engages directly with its heritage, transforming its cords and

trimmings into contemporary sculptural garments that echo their

origins. This collaboration offers a rare opportunity to engage with

Greece’s most intricate textile traditions, threads that carry centuries

of craftsmanship. Through this generous gesture, Mentis invites us

to rediscover its artistry, reinterpreted with a contemporary

sensibility.
