Gramma _Epsilon Gallery Presents Filo-diffusion_e

13.11.2025 - 31.01.2026

At Gramma Epsilon, the gallery continues its distinctive fil rouge of all-female exhibitions, reaffirming its singular place in the Athenian contemporary art landscape with Filo-diffusione_, curated by Paolo Cortese.

Drawing on Mirella Bentivoglio’s pioneering thread-centred shows of the 1980s, the exhibition brings together artists who shaped that history with younger ones who are carrying it forward in their own voice.

Across the works, the thread becomes a tool for inner searching, a way to explore identity and reclaim the thread’s long association with women’s labour, rising like silk turning into a butterfly into a steady strength. It’s Gramma Epsilon’s signature approach: precise yet tactile, thoughtful yet warmly grounded.

And with Maria Jole Serreli’s site-specific homage to the neighbourhood’s textile past, the exhibition folds its themes back into the city, giving the whole project a sense of place and purpose.
