HYDRA SCHOOL PROJECTS LITHOS/LETHE CURATED BY DIMITRIOS ANTONITSIS
There’s something special about walking into the Hydra School Projects in June.
The classrooms still carry a faint sense of recent exams, an invisible buzz of concentration and relief, as if the students just packed up their pens and rushed out into summer.
Curated by Dimitris Antonitsis, the exhibition brings together eight artists whose works animate the sunlit rooms with quiet intensity.
Dimitris’s marble sculptures enter into a dialogue with paintings, fabrics, and drawings, their presence echoing through the school and spilling out into the amphitheatrical courtyard, where a majestic installation curated by Tatiana Gecmen-Waldek and Ekaterina Juskowski ties it all together.
It’s a warm welcome into a space of calm thought and unexpected connections, and just as gently, a soft goodbye as you step back out into the Hydra light.
